WHO ARE YOU?

A girls group exploring their unapologetic self!​

Benefits of the Group: 

 Girls' self-exploration group therapy provides a safe space for young women to explore their identities and emotions. Through group discussions and activities, participants can gain insights into themselves and their peer, familial and/or romantic relationships. This supportive environment fosters personal growth and self-awareness, empowering girls to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience. 

Topics Explored in Group:

  • Self-defeating thoughts

  • Impact of Social Media on Self-image

  • ​Self-esteem/Self-confidence​

  • Relationships (familial, intimate, peer)

  • Explore Shadow parts of self

  • What is self-love?

  • Acceptance of Self​

Group Information:

This group will be held in person, for 6 weeks. Groups will be held for 60 minutes. 

Groups are limited to 5-6 girls to ensure quality service and attention to each child. 

Group Age: 14-17yo

Time: 1:30pm-2:30pm​

Dates: 

Saturday, September 14th- Oct 26th

*No class Saturday, October 4th, 2024

Fees:

$150 full enrollment

Insurance accepted (Cigna, Aetna, BCBS, Empire BCBS, Optum)

*Superbills can be provided for insurance reimbursements*

Benefits of Group Therapy for Anxiety:

Group therapy provides a supportive environment for individuals struggling with anxiety. Sharing experiences with others facing similar challenges can reduce feelings of isolation and provide a sense of belonging. Group members can offer valuable insights and coping strategies, creating a sense of community and understanding. Additionally, group therapy can help individuals develop social skills and build confidence in interacting with others. This collaborative approach to managing anxiety can enhance personal growth and emotional well-being.

  • What is Anxiety?

  • Types of anxiety

  • Explore reasons anxiety is developed

  • How anxiety is seen through behaviors/communication

  • Challenge thought patterns with CBT strategies

  • Explore helpful coping skills

Group Information: ​

*Only NY & TX residents*

Group 1: 11yo-13yo

Time: 11am-12pm

Group 2: 14yo-17yo

Time: 12pm-1pm

Virtually every Saturday starting September 14th

Parenting a child with trauma workshop

The workshop focuses on understanding trauma in children and how it affects their behavior. Parents learn strategies to create a safe environment and build trust with their child. Practical tools are provided to help parents regulate their own emotions and effectively support their child's healing journey. This workshop equips parents with the knowledge and skills needed to nurture a strong parent-child relationship and promote resilience in their child.
