Child Therapy

I offer individual services for children and teens to help with behavioral, emotional and relationship challenges. Therapy addresses challenges with attention and deficit disorders, selective mutism, anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, aggression and defiance, and trauma. In addition, therapy is beneficial to address adjustment to divorce, blending families, as well as, school behavioral challenges. To address these concerns, therapeutic play activities will be incorporated in sessions. Depending on your child's needs, I integrate models including Theraplay and Filial Therapy to incorporate you, the parent/guardian, in sessions.

When working with children and pre-teens, it is required for parents to attend consultation calls every 4-6 weeks to review your child's progress, discuss the skills being learned in therapy and to discuss any concerns that you may have.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is utilized to focus on the family dynamics. The goals of family therapy are to develop and maintain healthy boundaries, to address unhealthy communication styles within the family dynamics, facilitate cohesion through problem solving and develop understanding of each other's point's of views.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a form of therapy in which the therapist facilitates discussion with a small number of people who may share common challenge(s) and discuss possible solutions and/or learn the skills needed to address the challenge(s).

Soon to come, Unapologetically You will be offering a 12 week program, for adolescents and teens, highlighting how to be and own yourself. Stay tuned for updates!

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a personal opportunity for a client to work through emotional, interpersonal and behaviorally concerns. Areas of concern may be anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, wanting to understand oneself better, adjustment to life transitions (divorce, moving, new career), self-esteem and self-confidence concerns, body image challenges, bereavement, parenting challenges and much more. Individuals receive support and develop the tools needed to overcome their difficulties.

At Unapologetically, individual therapy is approached from an integrated perspective meaning the modality utilized to support you, will be based upon your needs and goals for therapy. We will collaborate on your treatment goals and treatment plan to address your difficulties and promote a better sense of self.
